About the Canadian Sepsis Foundation

The Canadian Sepsis Foundation (CSF) is a not-for-profit organization of volunteers, Critical Care Specialists, Researchers and patient partners with a mission to bring awareness to the public regarding the severity and avoidability of #Sepsis occurrences and deaths in Canada.

Founded in 2017, the CSF is focused on bringing attention to the most avoidable cause of death in Canada. 1 in 18 deaths in Canada are related to #Sepsis and it effects millions of people everyday.

Our mission includes:

✅ Educate Canadians about Sepsis including its risks, prevention, recognition, treatment, and outcomes.
✅ Advocate for improvements in prevention, symptom recognition and care by raising awareness of the burden of Sepsis on the Canadian health care system.
✅ Support for #SepsisSurvivors and their families through advocacy and networking.
✅ Support #Sepsisresearch including strategies and training for prevention, recognition, treatment, capacity building and innovations in care.
✅ Develop the CSF Strategic Plan.
✅ Develop Patient Stories advocating awareness.
✅ Develop a CSF National Advertising Strategy
